Discussion from Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven by David Jeremiah

God gives us peace and clarity about our identity and about the day that we are in. He is walking hand and hand with us. Helping us trust. He speaks to our heart “I am the shepherd of your soul.” He checks ahead of us for anything detrimental to us and deals with us. We will not allow the events of our life determine our future. He wants our safety and well-being to be constant . Holy Spirit gives us the peace that passes understanding.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Matthew 6:7-13 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.“This, then, is how you should pray:“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.11 Give us today our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]but deliver us from the evil one.[b]

Sometimes when we pray. it doesn’t happen the same way. Sometimes the answer to the prayer is a vehicle to mature us and take an active part in the answer. The same healing comes from God sometimes to pray for people and sometimes to lay hands directly on them. The other miracle is that the healing comes through a person and their faith. Release the authority of anger and frustration and release it with the power of prayer.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 I don’t want you to be ignorant about those who have fallen asleep lest you sorrow

Sorrow is something we experience. It’s part of the emotion to deal with in our soul. The flesh wants to use our sorrow in a negative direction, making negative decisions. It is part of God’s process to prepare us. Sorrow with the Holy Spirit gives us hope. It is like yeast in making bread. It rises us up to another level.

Proverb 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

During the journey through the desert they came to the pool Mara and Joshua was told to throw a stick in the water to make sweet water. The Holy Spirit can help us move on. Bitter Hers can happen, and not totally avoided but they can be made not to have a control in our lives. Bitter herbs are part of the Passover to help us remember the things of the past. We need to remember that we are a prepared people and have no fear of evil. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. It is not the length of the journey or is it that God helps us see better.

1 Thessalonians 4:12-18 1that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen [a]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [b]sleep in Jesus.15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [c]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

We are called to walk in holiness. He does not call us to anything impossible. He calls us to walk properly through situations over power of the flesh. Our faith, holiness and even our struggle scare the evil one.

1 John 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

People are going to find hope as they see us. We are learning to surrender our flesh always even unto death. Its like the blacksmith, we have nothing of ourselves. We are crushing the flesh to bring out the fragrance and the beauty of our Spirit. There are things we must walk through but it no longer intimidates us or makes us run away. He has made our roots strong. We sometimes feel knocked down, but we stand up in our faith. He will always provide a way to pick us up. The anchor is that He died, shed His blood, and rose again, the comforter came. Pray for the promises of God not the threat of the enemy.
